Burns launches food drive
To help area families in need during the holiday season, state Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, has launched a food drive and is collecting nonperishable food items at his local offices through Dec. 12.
Canned and boxed goods can be dropped off at either of Burns’ district offices, and the donations will be delivered to local food banks. Burns’ Johnstown office is at 535 Fairfield Ave., Lower Yoder Township, and his Ebensburg office is at 123 W. High St.
“With the high price of groceries and food programs stretched thin, the need today is greater than ever, so our food banks need more of our support,” Burns said. “My office is always happy to help, and every year I’m happy to see the generous residents of Cambria County pitch in to help, as well.”
For more information, contact Burns’ Johnstown office at 814-536-8400 or his Ebensburg office at 814-472-8021.
