Krause
A 19-year-old city man is behind bars without bail after a vehicle pursuit Saturday that involved a stolen vehicle.
The docket for Amari James Krause of Altoona states that bail was denied because he has “multiple cases within 19 months. No set of conditions can ensure the safety of the public.”
Two others involved in the case, Kimberly May Alfano, 52, of Hollidaysburg, and Danny Tallie, 55, of Altoona, are also behind bars.
All three have preliminary hearings scheduled for Oct. 28 before Magisterial District Judge Carmine W. Prestia Jr.
According to the affidavit, a vehicle was reported stolen from Altoona on Friday. On Saturday, it was reported that the 2017 maroon Chrysler Pacifica van was heading toward Bellwood from Altoona.

Alfano
Police located the vehicle parked at the diesel pumps at the Martin General Store, 2032 E. Pleasant Valley Boulevard in Antis Township, where officers made contact with Alfano and Tallie, who exited the driver’s seat. While attempting to identify the two, police heard the engine accelerate and a man, later identified as Krause, fled the area at a high rate of speed.
A pursuit of the van went south on Route 220. When Krause attempted to go west on Route 865, he struck an attended vehicle, causing heavy damage, police reported.
The chase continued on Route 865 and North First Street, North Cambria Street, North Eighth Street.
Krause fled onto PIne Street and drove through the backyard of two residences, the report states.
The pursuit continued to North Fourth Street and North Cambria Street and an alley between North Fifth Street and North Fourth Street, where Krause struck several decorative rocks, police reported. The pursuit led back to Blair Street and into another unnamed alley where the van struck a house at 320 Blair St., Bellwood. An air conditioning unit and chimney pipe were destroyed in the crash, police stated.

Tallie
The van stopped in the back yard of 318 Blair St., Bellwood, striking a wooden clothesline.
Krause fled on foot and was eventually taken into custody at gun point, the complaint states.
Meanwhile, Alfano and Tallie left the original scene and were found in Adult World, 3308 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd.
Police reported that Alfano appeared to be under the influence of multiple narcotics. After being detained and placed in a Logan Township cruiser, she began overdosing, Narcan was administered and an ambulance was called.
When AMED arrived, Alfano was given additional treatment and vomited up multiple stamped packets of suspected fentanyl. The bundle of 10 packets were stamped “Monster High,” police reported.
At UPMC Altoona, medical staff located 22 additional stamped packets of suspected fentanyl in a “Philly bundle” of 12 packets and a typical “bundle” of 10 packets in Alfano’s vagina, along with four rocks of crack cocaine, a broken smoking pipe and two razor blades. The packets were also stamped “Monster High,” according to the report.
A search warrant on the vehicle turned up nine more stamp packets of suspected fentanyl.
Krause was arraigned Sunday afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Andrew L. Blattenberger on nearly two dozen charges including felony counts of fleeing police, conspiracy – receiving stolen property, receiving stolen property, escape, possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy – possession, along with misdemeanor charges of evading arrest, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, along with summary traffic violations. He was remanded to the Blair County Prison without bail.
