PennDOT will be conducting roadwork over the next two weeks to pave crossover lanes in the median along Interstate 99.
The work will begin today, Monday, Sept. 29, and last about two weeks. Construction is part of the High-Speed Interchange project, which will provide a direct connection between the two interstates, and drivers will no longer need to use Route 26 to access the highways.
The contractor, Trumbull Corporation of Pittsburgh, will close the left lane on I-99 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in each direction between mile markers 84 and 85 each day until the project is complete. Drivers should expect traffic delays.
