A former resident of Coalport has been sentenced in federal court to time served of about six months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, on her conviction of violating federal narcotics laws related to a six-month Title III wiretap investigation into drug trafficking in and around Blair, Cambria, Centre and Clearfield counties.
Lesley Wilt, 39, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stephanie L. Haines.
According to information presented to the court, Wilt was a participant in a conspiracy to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine to various individuals throughout the Western District of Pennsylvania. According to the indictment, Wilt was among 13 individuals, including leaders, members, drug suppliers and associates of a drug trafficking organization responsible for distributing narcotics throughout western Pennsylvania.
Specifically, Wilt assisted Jason Lynn, an Altoona-based narcotics distributor, in redistributing the drugs to others after Lynn obtained the narcotics from a New York-based supplier. Lynn is currently awaiting sentencing.
This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces investigation.
