Penn Highlands recognized
Pennsylvania Highlands Community College has earned a spot on USA TODAY’s list of the Top 250 Vocational Schools in the United States for 2025.
Pennsylvania Highlands was one of only 12 schools in Pennsylvania to make the list and one of only three public institutions to receive this recognition in the state.
The rankings, developed in collaboration with the research firm Statista, were determined based on key performance metrics, including graduation rate, graduates’ initial salary, the time required to pay off net costs, social mobility and diversity.
BELLWOOD
Main Street Grille to open
The Main Street Grille at 400 Main St. will open for business at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, according to its Facebook page.
A small ownership group, led by Joe Russo and Vince Solimando, recently purchased the former Irvin’s On Main in Bellwood in hopes of relaunching the fast casual restaurant.
Main Street Grille will feature the same fast casual mixed menu with dine-in and take-out options and will retain the ice cream counter, offering both soft serve and Penn State Creamery ice cream.
