Blair OKs Kay’s resignation
HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Blair County Commissioners approved the resignation of Veterans Affairs Director Eric R. Kay during Thursday’s meeting.
Kay’s resignation was made effective retroactive to July 29, according to the meeting agenda. His hiring was approved by the commissioners at its Oct. 12, 2021, meeting and made retroactively effective to Oct. 4, 2021.
Commissioner Amy Webster said the County’s Office of Veterans Affairs has two other employees, Veterans Service Officers Michael Campagna and Bill Berkheimer, who would be handling the work until a new director is hired.
Webster said they’ve received a number of “promising” applications for the position, for which they’ll begin interviewing immediately.
