PennDOT said there is a potential for delays along several Blair County roads for various maintenance operations during the week of July 28-Aug. 1.
PennDOT's Blair County Maintenance Unit will be conducting the following operations:
-- Crack sealing on Route 1013 (Sinking Valley Road) in Tyrone Township
-- Mill and fill on Route 1013 (Kettle Road) in Tyrone Township
-- Bridge work on Route 4015 (Grandview Road) in Bellwood Borough
-- Sign maintenance and mowing on various routes countywide
-- Pipe flushing/ditching in the Blue Knob area
The work may be conducted under temporary traffic control signals or advanced signage.
Windmill superloads may slow traffic
Lengthy delays are possible due to the continued movement of superloads consisting of windmill blades and tower and turbine parts through the PennDOT District 9 counties of Bedford, Blair, Cambria and Somerset through mid-September.

Monday, July 28
-- Mid tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 7 a.m.
-- Center low mid tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 8 a.m.
-- Base tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 10 a.m.
The route includes Route 220 and Interstate 99 (I-99) through Bedford County, I-99 and Route 22 through Blair County, and Routes 22, 219, 4013 (Sunset Road) and 36 through Cambria County.
-- Windmill blade on Route 219 in Somerset County beginning about 9 a.m.
-- Windmill blade on Route 219 in Somerset County beginning about 11 a.m.
-- Windmill blade on Route 219 in Somerset County beginning about 1 p.m.
The route includes Route 219 through Somerset County, and Route 219, Route 4013 (Sunset Road) and Route 36 through Cambria County.
Tuesday, July 29
-- Drivetrain section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 7 a.m.
-- Mid tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 8 a.m.
The route includes Route 220 and I-99 through Bedford County, I-99 and Route 22 through Blair County, and Routes 22, 219, 4013 (Sunset Road) and 36 through Cambria County.

-- Top tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 7 a.m.
-- Mid tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 8 a.m.
-- Center upper mid tower section on Route 220 in Bedford County beginning about 9 a.m.

The Route includes U.S. 220 and I-99 through Bedford County, I-99 and U.S. 22 through Blair County, and Route 22, Route 219, Route 4013 (Sunset Road) and Route 36 through Cambria County.

The route includes Route 219 through Somerset County, and Routes 219, 4013 (Sunset Road) and 36 through Cambria County.
The superloads are destined for the CPV Rogue's Wind facility near Patton, Cambria County. Drivers should remain alert for these slow-moving, two-lane operations and use alternate routes when possible. Traveling both the posted speed limit and slower as needed, superloads will occasionally pull over to allow traffic to pass.
