The Intermunicipal Relations Committee is hosting a household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, July 19.

The collection will be held at the Jaffa Shrine from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pre-registration at ircenvironment.org is required and there is no cost to register. There is a base charge of $20 per vehicle with an additional charge of $0.50 per pound for all paints, payable by cash or check at the event.

Acceptable items are fluorescent bulbs and tubes; automotive fluids; pesticides and fertilizers; flammables and corrosives; aerosol cans; and latex, oil-based and spray paints. For information, call 814-942-7472 or email education@ircenvironment.org.
