New hires and promotions

Christine Stryker has been appointed by Conemaugh Health System as chief nursing officer.

Stryker brings more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing, patient services and health care operations to her new role. A highly accomplished and compassionate nurse executive, Stryker has led clinical teams in a wide range of hospital settings — from large academic medical centers to smaller, community based facilities.

Jacob Bickley was promoted to a licensed financial advisor with Bickley Financial Group of Ameriprise Financial Services LLC, Hollidaysburg.

Bickley completed the General Securities Representative Qualification Exam (Series 7), Series 66, Series 63 and Insurance Life, Accident & Health Exams.

Awards and honors

George Radeschi of Bedford received Best in Show in 3D art at the 2025 National Juried Art Show at Park Gables Gallery in Harrisonburg, Va., for a walnut and white oak covered bowl.

The pattern on the cover of this 12″ x 6″ bowl mirrors the pattern inside the bowl. “Each of the native woods I used in this bowl was harvested from my property and selected for their individual characteristics of color, shading, luster and grain variations from both the heartwood and the sapwood,” Radeschi said.

Jeffrey Gum, vice president and managing director of Kish Benefits Consulting, a division of Kish Bank, has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s Government Relations Policy Committee, which is responsible for PA Bankers’ overall state public policy advocacy program and determines the association’s policy positions and priorities on pending or proposed state legislation and regulations.

Gum has also been appointed to chair the PA Bankers’ Insurance Services Advisory Committee, which reviews and recommends policy positions on state legislation and regulations on behalf of member banks to the Government Relations Policy Committee.

Internships

Matthew Riccio, a student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, is currently participating in the internship program at The Hancock Group Inc. Matt is majoring in finance. He is the son of Philip and Kimberly Riccio of Altoona.

Retirements

Karla Moschella will retire July 1 as Value Drug Company’s vice president of sales and marketing.

Moschella has been in her role of vice president of sales and marketing since 2010. She devoted her career to supporting the cooperative and community independent pharmacy. She has fulfilled a number of roles at Value Drug Company, each with successive more responsibility. Her leadership shaped the cooperative into a trusted wholesale partner for pharmacies while growing the membership and organization for over 35 years.

Moschella will be succeeded by the newly promoted Todd Laser, senior director of sales, and Carol Gensimore, senior director of strategic customer innovation, for the sales and marketing, customer service and business analytics teams respectively.
