Tonight in York, 22 women and 18 teens, including a Roaring Spring teen, begin preliminary competitions for Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Pennsylvania’s Teen in the Miss Pennsylvania 2025 Competition.

Jaylyn Resh, 18, Miss York County’s Teen, will compete in baton twirling. Her community service initiative is “Feeding Futures — Building Dreams One Meal at a Time.” She will attend Virginia Tech this fall and be their featured twirler.

Preliminaries include all aspects of competition for both sets of candidates, including talent, fitness, evening wear and community service initiative. The Miss Pennsylvania’s Teen Finals, and the second night of Miss Pennsylvania Preliminaries, will begin Friday and the Miss Pennsylvania Finals will begin Saturday, all at The Appell Center.

The Miss PA Scholarship Foundation will award $75,000 in scholarships to the contestants.
