Freedom Township bridge honors fallen Korean War veteran

A Freedom Township bridge has been named The Sergeant First Class (SFC) Thomas V. Dodson Memorial Bridge during a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony May 28.
Beginning at the Freedom Township Fire Hall, the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard performed a presentation and Retirement of the Colors. Michele Ivory from state Sen. Judy Ward’s office, state Rep. Scott Barger and Blair County Commissioner Amy Webster provided remarks on the project and bridge dedication.
Members of Dodson’s family also told personal stories about the valiant soldier who gave his life for our country during his third enlistment in Korea.
