HOLLIDAYSBURG — An engineering firm presented Blair County commissioners this morning with three potential sites for a county prison, with the preferred site in Allegheny Township, on undeveloped acreage behind Alto Reste cemetery, adjacent to the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home grounds.
Representatives from TranSystems of Ebensburg presented an evaluation of the three sites and offered estimated construction costs of $96.27 million to $123.16 million.
See Friday’s Altoona Mirror for more details.
