AT&T expanding network

AT&T has expanded its 5G network in Blair and Somerset counties by adding two new cell sites to enhance the area's coverage and capacity.

The new sites boost coverage in Blair County in Hollidaysburg, near Chimney Rocks Road and Lookout Farm Lane, and in Somerset County, in Friedens around Stoystown Road and Hillcrest Park.

From 2019 to 2023, AT&T invested nearly $1.6 billion in its wireless and wireline networks in Pennsylvania.

TYRONE

Colonial Courtyard honored

Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone earned IntegraCare's Silver Level Award for its prompt handling of residents' call bell requests during the fourth quarter of 2024.

When a resident needs assistance, whether it's for routine help or an emergency, they can push a pendant they carry on them. During the quarter, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone's team responded in person to each call in an average of two minutes, six seconds to attain Silver Level status for a second consecutive quarter.

The call bell systems handle more than potential crisis situations. They're also the residents' connection to the team for help with more routine needs, such as dressing, moving from place to place or getting a glass of water.
