I am honored to announce my candidacy for re-election as Blair County’s Sheriff. After serving you for the past seven years, I am seeking a third term to continue the work we’ve started and to build on the many successes we have achieved together.

If re-elected, I will continue to expand on the initiatives we’ve introduced and ensure that our Sheriff’s Office remains a trusted, accessible resource for the community we all love.

I’d like to highlight some of our accomplishments for you.

— Updated office systems: We successfully updated the office computer systems to simplify and improve the processing of civil filings, sharable sale information online and warrant retention.

— Online License to Carry (LTC) application: Our office was the first in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to introduce an online application process for License to Carry (LTC).

This initiative has since been adopted by nearly half of the state’s Sheriff’s Offices.

— Increased community involvement: We have significantly increased our involvement in our Blair County communities, organizing events, providing assistance and ensuring a law enforcement presence at key local gatherings.

— Free Onsite Threat Assessments and Training: Our office has provided onsite threat assessments and training to local businesses and churches free of charge.

— Courthouse security: We have made significant upgrades to courthouse security, ensuring the safety of those working within and visiting the courthouse.

Looking to the future, we are committed to continuing our progress and have set the following goals:

— Mobile LTC events: We are working to establish a program that will allow us to schedule mobile LTC events. This will help residents who struggle to visit our office during normal business hours to either apply for or pick up their approved LTC applications.

— Online sheriff sale auctions: We are exploring the possibility of implementing online Sheriff Sale Auctions, which would expand the opportunity for participation and potentially increase sale amounts.

— Advanced deputy training: We will continue to prioritize the ongoing training and development of our deputies. Providing vital, up-to-date training will ensure our team delivers the highest standard of service to our community.
