The following organizations have planned Veterans Day events:
Blair County parade
The Blair County War Veterans Council will host the annual Veterans Day parade Monday, Nov. 11. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Eighth Avenue and 17th Street and continues to 12th Avenue, to 11th Avenue and 16th Street.
A ceremony will follow at the Robert E. Laws Veterans Mall, 11th Avenue and 14th Street.

Carrolltown services
The Carrolltown American Legion Post 506 will hold Veterans Day services at the following locations:
-- 10 a.m. Carrolltown Legion Monument
-- 10:15 a.m. Bakerton/Elmora Memorial
-- 10:30 a.m. St. Benedict Memorial
-- 10:45 a.m Spangler Wall
-- 11 a.m. Barnesboro Memorial
-- 11:15 a.m. Germantown Memorial
-- 11:30 a.m. Emeigh Memorial
Patton services
Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614 and John White VFW Post 779 will conduct their Veterans Day services beginning at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11. Veterans are asked to assemble no later than 10:45 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial at the Patton Recreational Park.
After the service at the park, veterans will conduct a service in front of the American Legion and then proceed to the VFW Post where a similar service will be held.
The public is invited to attend the services.
Lunch will be served at the VFW for all participating veterans.
Local veterans can have their name added to the Veterans Memorial at Patton Park. Applications are available at the Patton Borough Office.
Johnstown parade
The 28th annual Veterans Day Parade in Johnstown will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, to be followed by a short ceremony in Central Park immediately after. The parade will be on Main Street and end at Central Park.
Those who have a Spider-Man of Marvel character costume are invited to march with the Ditko Division in honor of Steve Ditko. For more information, contact John Hauser at 814-255-0355 or hauserj@vciinc.org to sign up.
