The Tyrone Events and Promotions Committee is looking for the next "Hometown Hero 2024."
Since 2006, the committee has selected individuals from the community who have donated their time and energies to programs and projects that benefit the residents outside of their employment.
Hometown Hero nominees must live in the Tyrone area and demonstrate an attitude of servant leadership outside their regular employment responsibilities. Recipients can be an individual, couple, organization or family.
Nominations for 2024 are being accepted until Oct. 1 at the Tyrone Chamber Office or mail to the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, 1004 Logan Ave., Tyrone, PA 16686. To make a nomination, submit a letter detailing why this person should be considered for this award. Any documentation to support the nomination should also be included. Those making the nominations should sign and date the letter and include your address and contact information.
