PSU receives $10 million gift

Donor to athletics program wishes to be anonymous

Penn State Athletics has announced a second Founders Gift for the Beaver Stadium revitalization project.

The $10 million gift is from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous and comes on the heels of a $25 million commitment from the Misitano family and PAM Health that was announced last week.

The family gifting $10 million has supported the athletics department in a number of ways, said Dr. Patrick Kraft, vice president for intercollegiate athletics.

“This gift is a unique symbol of a deep commitment to a significant priority,” he said, noting the athletics department is thankful for the support it has received in the early stages of fundraising for the project.

The Beaver Stadium Founders are donors making gifts of eight figures or more and the gifts will be recognized in a plaza outside Beaver Stadium when renovations are complete.

In May 2024, the Penn State Board of Trustees approved investing in a $700 million renovation project of Beaver Stadium.

Starting at $2.99/week.
