The Logan Township supervisors have issued a ban on all open burning, stating that warmer weather without leaves on the trees makes conditions for brush fires ideal.
The ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until April 16.
Township residents are asked to report violations by calling 814-949-3364 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or 814-940-5952 after hours and on weekends.
