From Mirror staff reports

MUNCY — Pennsylvania Skill, through its charitable giving efforts, hit a new milestone in 2023 by providing $1.1 million to organizations across the state.

The donations helped groups that offer good works that touch nearly every county of the commonwealth. Recipients included school programs, domestic violence shelters, veterans organizations, fire companies, police departments and animal shelters.

The Neptune Steam Fire Company No. 1 in Tyrone received $10,000 to replace an aged boiler system.

“We are thrilled to be able to help so many worthy causes around the state,” said Nicole Miele, director of Pennsylvania Skill charitable giving. “In some cases, organizations were able to expand their services and increase efforts in their communities because of our donations.”

Pennsylvania Skill, powered by Pace-O-Matic, provides the legal skill games found in restaurants, bars, grocery stores and other locations. Pennsylvania Skill has given away $4.4 million in donations since it created a charitable donation program in 2018.
