New hires and promotions
Alison Martin has joined the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County with 20 years of client service, membership and relationship-based experience.
She will be responsible for membership and business development, corporate sponsorships, and the Chamber CRM system. Prior to joining the chamber, she spent 15 years as the managing director of InVested Advisors based in State College.
Keith Crissman has been appointed executive vice president, chief revenue officer at Kish Bank.
Crissman will develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention and market expansion. He will lead a team of executives.
Kathy Sweigert of Altoona has been named vice president of the Mid-Atlantic Division of the Giant Co.
Sweigert has been a team member since 2000 and has held several roles with the company, from an entry-level, part-time position to store manager and regional director. Most recently, she served as director of human resources, a position she has held since May 2022.
Awards and honors
Amos Goodall, an attorney with Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, an elder law firm with locations in Altoona, State College, Wilkes-Barre, Williamsport, Wyalusing and Wysox, was recognized in the Best Lawyers in America rankings, a list of individual attorneys recognized by their peers.
It marks the 17th consecutive year that Goodall has been on this list. He has been recognized in the elder law category every year since 2008, and in the trusts & estate law category every year since 2013.
Jaclyn "Jacqui" Dietze of Altoona has been awarded the associate in claims designation by The Institutes for successfully completing a series of courses and examinations on claims handling principles, practices, and coverages.
Dietze, a 2007 graduate of Altoona Area High School, joined the Teeter Group as the assistant workers compensation specialist in March 2014. Dietze assists in coordinating claims and loss control services.
Dr. Alan Kivitz of Altoona Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center is now lead investigator and study chairman for XBiotech's clinical research program for Natrunix in Rheumatoid Arthritis.
XBiotech believes Natrunix will be a breakthrough therapy for rheumatological diseases. The company has now enrolled about 33% of the 210 patients it is recruiting for a Phase II, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study, examining Natrunix in combination with methotrexate for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
