ATLANTA

NS declares dividend

Norfolk Southern Corp. announced Tuesday a quarterly dividend of $1.35 per share on its common stock.

The dividend is payable Nov. 20. to shareholders of record on Nov. 3.

The company has paid a dividend on its common stock for 165 consecutive quarters since its formation in 1982.

The Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology will host an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.

Parents, business/industry, future students and anyone interested in career and technical education are invited to attend.

Christmas program begins

Professionals Auto Body has kicked off its "Kids for Christmas" program for the ninth consecutive year.

The "Kids for Christmas" program will provide toys, clothing, school items, food and more to families struggling during the holidays. A select few children will have Santa and local law enforcement visit their homes starting in December. The goal is to help families and have the kids interact with officers in a different way.

Professionals Auto Body is looking for monetary donations, new toys and grocery store gift cards for food. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Professionals Auto Body Duncansville location or go to the GoFundMe page to at https://gofund.me/bd8416c6. Checks should be made payable to "Kids for Christmas." Donations are being collected now through Dec. 20.
