A Coca-Cola truck crashed into a horse and buggy about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, closing a portion of Cove Mountain Road in North Woodbury Township.
The crash just outside Martinsburg injured the two people in the buggy, according to Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Company Chief Randy Acker. They were transported to UPMC Altoona with serious injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured, according to WTAJ reports.
The horse was put down after emergency crews found it lying in a nearby cornfield, Acker said.
Cove Mountain Road was closed at the Auction Road intersection while police investigated the crash.
