On July 9, state police received a phone call regarding an unresponsive 2-month-old boy at a home on the 100 block of Paris Road in Broad Top Township. The baby was declared dead at 1:01 p.m. July 9 at that residence, according to a police report.
Autopsy and toxicology results showed the child died from methamphetamine toxicity, police reported, and through interviews and the investigation, Long and Kinser were arrested and charged with the boy's death.
Bail was set at $800,000 each, and they are being held in the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
Their preliminary hearings are set for Aug. 30 in Bedford County Central Court.
