NS posts quarterly dividend
Norfolk Southern Corp. announced Tuesday a quarterly dividend of $1.35 per share on its common stock.
The dividend is payable Aug. 21 to shareholders of record on Aug. 4.
The company has paid a dividend on its common stock for 164 consecutive quarters.
Norfolk Southern will announce quarterly earnings today.

Backpack giveaway July 30
Round Room LLC., the nation's largest Verizon authorized retailer, announces its TCC and Wireless Zone retailers will be donating 120,000 backpacks with school supplies through the 11th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.
At 1 p.m. Sunday, July 30, while supplies last, Wireless Zone stores nationwide are giving away backpacks filled with pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, a ruler and glue. One backpack per child present will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.
