Sheetz sells winning ticket
Sheetz, 1100 Blair St., Hollidaysburg, has earned a $500 bonus for selling a winning Powerball ticket. The Powerball with Power Play ticket was worth $150,000 for the Wednesday drawing, lottery officials announced.
The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 23-35-45-66-67, and the red Powerball 20 to win $150,000, less applicable withholding. Without the $1 Power Play option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The Power Play multiplier drawn was three.
No ticket matched all five numbers and the Powerball and the jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $875 million, or $441.9 million cash, for the next drawing Saturday, July 15.
Democratic women to meet
The Blair County Federation of Democratic Women will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Perkins Restaurant, 3300 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.
All women who are registered Democrats are welcome to attend.
