An Alexandria teenager was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on state Route 22, near Lincoln Caverns, Huntingdon County.
The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police. His name has not been released.
According to the police report, the teen was operating a 2003 Audi A4 eastbound on state Route 22 near the intersection with Grange Hall Road about 5:11 a.m. when a westbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by a 24-year-old man, made a right turn onto Grange Hall Road.
The Audi crossed over the travel lanes, off the road, through a business parking lot, across a grass embankment and onto Grange Hall Road, where it struck the front of the truck.
The truck was pushed back and across William Penn Highway, coming to rest on the road, blocking the eastbound travel lane. The Audi ended up on Grange Hall Road.
The driver of the truck suffered what appeared to be minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment, police reported.
The accident closed state Route 22 for several hours Monday morning as police investigated.
