The project to rebuild part of North Main Street in Roaring Spring will begin today.
Excavating Associates Inc. will complete the $642,584 project by mid-August 2023, according to PennDOT.
Starting today, traffic will follow a 1.6-mile detour using Route 36 (Main Street), East Main Street and Spang Street for the contractor to begin removal of the existing roadway and slope excavation for roadway realignment.
A new bituminous roadway will be constructed, along with drainage and guiderail improvements.
