Favorite FFA memory: My favorite FFA memory is when I competed in state Career and Leadership Development Event for the first time and received First Dairy Handler.
FFA accomplishments: First Dairy Handler,$500 winner of the 2022 Spring Learning by Doing Grant, 2022-2023 SHC FFA treasurer, Silver In National Dairy Handling, Discovery Degree, Star Greenhand Degree
How has FFA prepared you for your future aspirations: I plan to attend an out-of-state college for an agricultural-based major. FFA has provided me with opportunities to learn more about the agricultural industry and better understand what all it involves. I have been provided a speech contest to participate in and an interview contest to participate in. These will help me to become more familiar with public speaking and interviews to prepare me for future jobs that may include that.
Special thanks: I would like to thank my parents, Jason and Melissa Heeter. If they did not push me out of my comfort zone, I would not be where I am today. They have helped me when it was needed and pushed me to be the best I can be. I would like to thank my sister, Peyton Heeter, for dealing with me and being able to fill in to feed the animals when I go on a FFA trip or when I am at a meeting. I would also like to thank my past FFA adviser and my current FFA adviser. Cortney Booher was able to help me start out on my journey in FFA. My current FFA adviser Mikara Anderson has been a great help with everything. She has encouraged me to do so many things and has been there to answer any questions that I may have.
Quote: "If you think FFA is not for you because you do not farm, you are wrong. FFA welcomes everyone whether you farm or not. You will be able to learn so much, make many new friends and experience so many things that you couldn't have if you would not have joined. So when your ag teacher asks for people to sign up and be in FFA, do it. It will provide you with so many opportunities that you will not often see in other places."
