A city woman faces charges in an Altoona burglary in which three guns were stolen.
Shannon Kristine Cullen, 37, was arraigned Friday before Magisterial District Judge Fred B. Miller on two felony burglary charges and a felony charge of theft by unlawful taking. Unable to post $100,000 bail, she was remanded to the Blair County Prison. Her preliminary hearing is set for April 12 before Magisterial District Judge Benjamin F. Jones.
On Feb. 15, Altoona police were dispatched to a home on the 4000 block of Fourth Avenue, where the homeowner said two people entered his home and took three loaded Smith & Wesson firearms valued at $1,500.
The victim said he noticed he was missing a bowl of pulled pork from his refrigerator and some beer, then found the guns were also missing, court documents state.
In addition, the victim told police video surveillance from his neighbor's Ring camera showed Cullen and Benjamin Criscuolo, 43, on his front porch and at the rear of the residence. At one point, Cullen can be seen walking the victim's dog, police reported.
While talking to police, the victim received a text from Cullen stating, "Bud please give me a chance to get them back," the report states.
When police went to Cullen and Criscuolo's home, they were unable to get an answer at the door, but they found the bowl of pulled pork on the front porch, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Criscuolo was arraigned March 23 in the case. He faces felony charges of conspiracy-burglary, burglary-no person present, theft by unlawful taking, criminal trespass and burglary-person present. Unable to post $300,000 bail, he remains in the Blair County Prison, according to online court documents.
