Hollidaysburg Borough police are warning of a scam in which people receive mail from an organization called "Citizens Behind the Badge." The letter claims donated money will support the Hollidaysburg Borough Police Department, but police have no affiliation with the group.
The department does not seek donations through the mail and said that anyone who receives a letter should not provide money or information to the group. Anyone with information about a suspected scam is asked to contact local law enforcement.
