Mount Aloysius College wins awards for marketing

Mount Aloysius College has announced that its new "Elevated" advertising brand, developed entirely in-house, has won six awards in four national and global competitions, including four gold awards, one first place and one best.

The honors include gold awards for integrated marketing campaign, total advertising campaign, and total recruitment package from The Educational Advertising Awards; a gold award for recruitment series from The Collegiate Advertising Awards; best university integrated ad campaign (education category) from The Internet Advertising Competition; and first place for the promotional campaigns category in the ACUI Steal This Idea competition.

UGI to replace natural gas mains, enhance system

UGI Utilities will spend $291 million in fiscal year 2023 to replace natural gas mains and associated facilities, as well as complete a number of system enhancement projects.

About 70 miles of cast iron and bare steel mains are targeted for replacement in UGI's current fiscal year plan. The new mains will be constructed of contemporary materials such as high-density plastic or protected steel.

UGI will provide advance notification regarding construction schedules to residents of the communities where these projects will occur. As part of the construction projects, UGI will replace service lines to customer homes as needed.

UGI Utilities, Inc. is a natural gas and electric utility company that serves more than 740,000 customers in 45 counties in Pennsylvania.

Spherion of Altoona presented with honors

Spherion Staffing and Recruiting of Altoona was recently presented with the president's, franchise owner and on-premise of the year awards during the Spherion 2023 National Meeting.

The awards were given to Spherion of Altoona for upholding Spherion's values. The president's award recognizes the team's business strategy, which led to a 25% sales increase. In 2022, the on-premise operations expanded significantly, nearly doubling in size, earning the Altoona location the on-premise of the year award. The accomplishments are what earned co-owners and brothers Jay and Don Jr. Ruggery the franchise owner of the year award.
