HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The regional organization attempting to improve and expand high-speed internet access to residents in Blair and nearby counties has launched a survey.
Blair County Commissioner Bruce Erb spoke Tuesday about the survey, offered by Alleghenies Broadband Inc., at https://southernalleghenies.servicezones.net/
Those who access the survey will be asked to enter their address and answer questions about current internet access. County residents are encouraged to use their home computer and main internet connection to complete the survey. Those without a home computer can use a cellphone or other internet connecting device to complete the survey.
Erb also said that efforts are being made to put a link on the county's website, at www.blairco.org, to access the survey.
The Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission created Alleghenies Broadband Inc. as a 501(c)(3) organization to undertake an expansion of high-speed internet options in Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset counties.
Flyers are also being distributed to encourage participation in the survey.
