TYRONE -- A 14-year-old boy was killed Thursday in what officials are calling an accidental shooting on the 300 block of West 15th Street.
The incident occurred about 12:50 p.m. and involved a .40-caliber handgun. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Tyrone Police Chief Jessica Walk.
An autopsy was to be held Friday by Blair County Coroner Patricia Ross.
No additional details were released. The investigation is ongoing.
