Police continue probe into death

Authorities continue to investigate the death of a 51-year-old woman at a house on the 2300 block of West Loop Road in Frankstown Township Wednesday morning.

The Blair County District Attorney's Office is working with state police, which are "investigating the circumstances around her death," District Attorney Pete Weeks said Thursday afternoon.

"It's not fair to classify it as anything now," Weeks said. "It's too early to draw any conclusions."

The woman hasn't been named publicly.

Authorities have done forensics testing and are waiting on reports from a pathologist, among other results, according to Weeks.

"It's a death investigation at this point -- nothing more, nothing less," Weeks said.

He can't offer "a timeframe or timeline," Weeks said, when asked when there might be further resolution on the case, stating "once law enforcement reaches a determination."
