Business manager Greg Gates gave a presentation on the preliminary budget for the 2022-23 school year.
The proposed budget total is $20,626,518, with a 4.8% increase in the real estate tax. That is the maximum allowed under Act 1 as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
PDE says the base index generally is calculated by averaging the percent increases in the Pennsylvania statewide average weekly wage and the federal employment cost index for elementary/secondary schools.
