A Portage Township man was killed after he fell off of and was run over by a trailer loaded with lumber Friday afternoon.
According to WTAJ, 65-year-old Melvin Miller was helping a friend move lumber at the 1600 block of Shawnee Road in Summerhill Township about 3:15 p.m. when the trailer on which he was standing hit a rut in the ground and he fell off.
Miller was taken to Conemaugh Memorial where he was pronounced dead by Coroner Jeff Lees.
Miller's death was ruled an accident.
