TYRONE — The Blair County coroner’s office is confirming one person is dead after Monday’s massive fire on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Deputy coroner Samantha Kimberling issued a press release late Monday night saying human remains were discovered in one of the structures involved.
An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm the cause of death.
Five people were hospitalized by the fire that was caused by a gas explosion, and the whereabouts of one person had been unknown.
