Michigan man faces felony theft
A Flint, Michigan, man faces a felony charge of theft by deception after allegedly trying to steal more than $2,000 in merchandise from an East Freedom Walmart, court documents stated.
Roshia Harris, 19, was arraigned Saturday by Magisterial District Judge Andrew L. Blattenberger after he and two other suspects allegedly tried to steal $2,017.77 of merchandise from the Walmart, police said.
After being confronted by Walmart Loss Prevention, police said the three allegedly fled but were discovered in their vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.
Police said Harris and the two other suspects allegedly took four Roombas, four Legos, a Shark robot and clothing items.
Unable to post bail of $30,000, Harris is detained at Blair County Prison.
His preliminary hearing before Blattenberger is scheduled for July 1.
