Blair Tea Party sets meeting

Red, White and Blue Rally events to be discussed

DUNCANSVILLE — The Blair County Tea Party will introduce plans for this year’s Red, White and Blue Rally and discuss Second Amendment issues at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Duncansville Community Center, 315 14th St., Duncansville.

Blair County Tea Party President Rhonda Holland will lead a discussion about the second annual rally to show support for law enforcement and celebrate the nation. Holland will update plans to circulate petitions for Second Amendment sanctuary status in Blair County.

The group will show the documentary “No Guns for Jews” about the importance of self-defense made by Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.

Last year’s Red, White and Blue Rally featured speeches by John McGinnis, state Sen. Doug Mastriano and U.S. Rep. John Joyce, R-13th District, as well as live music, family activities, information tables, vendors and food trucks.

This year, the Blair County Tea Party will also raffle 10 guns at the rally, which will be held Sept. 4 at Legion Park. Raffle tickets will cost $10 and will be available for purchase soon.
