Altoona police filed drug charges Friday against a state parolee after law enforcement members discovered several illicit substances, including crack, in the parolee's Altoona home, court documents stated.

In January, the Altoona Police Department worked with agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office to serve Mark L. Ivory, 45, with a Cambria County warrant for drug delivery charges, according to court documents.

While Ivory was not listed under Blair County supervision, an agent received information that Ivory was living in Altoona, police reported.

On Jan. 13, Altoona police accompanied Attorney General's Office agents to Ivory's address, and upon contacting Ivory, officers immediately detected the odor of burnt marijuana, a criminal complaint stated.

Ivory was arrested, and agents searched the residence for possible parole and probation violations, court documents stated.

A woman, Sharon McCall, and a child were at the residence at the time of the search, police reported.

Inside a kitchen cupboard, agents discovered a yellow bag with a white powder residue, and a plastic bag containing assorted drugs, including heroin, crack cocaine and methamphetamine, court documents stated. Agents stopped their search to apply for a search warrant, which was later approved by Blair County District Attorney Pete Weeks, according to a criminal complaint.

Ivory signed a bail waiver and was transported to Cambria County Prison, police reported.

Once a search warrant was compiled, Altoona police returned to the residence and assisted in the search, which yielded about $406 in cash, 16 grams of meth, approximately 25 grams of crack cocaine and 20 packets of heroin as well as an unspecified amount of marijuana, court documents stated.

Ivory was charged with felony possession with the intent to deliver and drug-related misdemeanors, court documents stated. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday with Magisterial District Judge Ben Jones.

McCall allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana and claimed ownership of a small amount of marijuana that police and agents discovered, court documents stated.

Police noted they also discovered empty packets of heroin and cocaine in McCall's jacket. Court documents stated McCall was charged with drug-related misdemeanors on Jan. 13. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday before Jones.
