Nehemiah Project to distribute meals

Outreach offers free Thanksgiving meals for holiday

The Nehemiah Project will distribute free Thanksgiving meals the day before the holiday.

The nonprofit organization will serve up to 600 hot meals of turkey and the trimmings from 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesday,

Nov. 25, at The Wright Place for Kids, 1809 11th St.

Volunteers will give the meals to recipients who drive their vehicles to the distribution area under the carport ramp at the facility.

The Nehemiah Project is a broad, faith-based community development organization committed to assisting underprivileged and blighted neighborhoods with services designed to enhance the residents and their community environment.
