The Hollidaysburg Area School District has reported a positive COVID-19 case from a person at the Frankstown Elementary School.

In a letter to parents and guardians on Wednesday evening, HASD Superintendent Robert Gildea said the district was notified of the positive test earlier in the day. The letter said the person had not been in close contact (defined as 6 feet or less for more than 15 minutes) with students or teachers.

The letter said the Department of Health is aware of the case and is "working closely" with the school administration and that the school schedule will continue today as normal.

Starting at /week.
