HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Votes cast in Tuesday's primary remain under review and as of Friday, were not yet updated on the Blair County website.
Votes posted on the website, www.blairco.org, are ones cast by those who voted in person Tuesday.
The website numbers do not include votes cast through mailed ballots, an option that attracted widespread use this year in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The county's official return board, made up of the county commissioners, began Tuesday to review the thousands of mailed ballots, then started Friday with the routine canvassing of returns. On Monday, the return board is scheduled to examine the eligibility of provisional ballots.
Chief Clerk Nichole Hemminger said Friday that it may be Wednesday before the reviews are finished and results are updated.
Tuesday's Republican and Democratic ballots included competitive races for president, where incumbent Donald Trump and challenger Joseph Biden are the presumptive nominees. The Democratic ballot also contained a six-person race for state auditor general nominee.
