Mirror launching Saturday-Sunday print edition
Newspaper will be delivered Saturday
The Mirror is about to embark on a new era.
Beginning Saturday, May 2, the combined Saturday-Sunday Mirror will be delivered to home subscribers on Saturday morning while remaining available throughout the weekend in stores and vending machines.
In addition to comprehensive coverage of local news and the region’s best coverage of high school sports, the Saturday-Sunday product will include our Nation/World, Business, Life and Community sections along with full-color weekend comics and the weekend classified advertising listings.
The Saturday-Sunday Mirror also will contain the traditional advertising inserts and specials a day earlier, which will allow readers to better plan their weekend shopping trips, Mirror Publisher Ed Kruger said.
News and sports events that happen on Saturdays will be available through altoonamirror.com and in Monday’s print edition.
“Times are changing, and so are we,” Kruger said. “The Mirror has been one of the few papers in Pennsylvania that has continued to publish seven days a week, but we see this as a necessary transition in order to continue to best serve our readership. We look forward to our new Saturday-Sunday edition.”
