Clearfield pair held without bail on child porn charges

CLEARFIELD -- Two Clearfield residents are being held in the Clearfield County Jail without bail on sexual assault and numerous child porn charges.
Jackson Curtis Martin III, 44, is facing 1,868 felony charges including 1,700 counts of child pornography, 148 counts of photograph/film/depict on computer sex act, five counts of disseminate photo/film of child sex acts, three counts of photograph/film/depict on computer sex act, sexual exploitation of children, three counts of indecent assault of person less than 13 years of age, three counts of criminal use of a communication facility as well as rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Amanda Nichelle Downs, 28, faces 171 felonies including rape of a child, 148 counts of photograph/film/depict on computer sex act, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, disseminate photo/film of child sex acts, three counts of photograph/film/depict on computer sex act, 10 counts of child pornography, sexual exploitation of children, three counts of indecent assault of person less that 13 years of age, criminal use of communication facility and endangering the welfare of children.
The pair was charged earlier this week after a tip from Facebook regarding a photo of a "lascivious exhibition" sent from Downs' account to Martin's account on Nov. 18, 2018, led to an investigation.
When a search warrant was served on their residence, police discovered drug paraphernalia, sexual devices and toys, and a firearm. They seized several electronic devices that contained numerous items of child pornography that includes images of Martin having sexual contact with a toddler, according to the affidavit.
Conversations found by investigators reportedly mention Martin having sex with a 9-year-old and a 4-year-old.
During one of the conversations between Martin and Downs contained within the criminal complaint, Martin refers to drugging a girl so he could "play with her in all kind of naughty ways as u help and watch and video everything."
Both are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Wednesday in centralized court.
