HOLLIDAYSBURG — Blair County Citizens for Accurate Re-assessment, the citizens’ group that challenged the county re-assessment in 2016, will hold a special general meeting 7 p.m. today at 703 Allegheny St.

The group will hear presentations from candidates for county commissioner, pose questions to those candidates and discuss ongoing issues with property taxes.

All commissioner candidates from both parties have been invited to attend. Four candidates have accepted as of Monday: Republicans Amy Webster, Matt Gindlesperger, Bruce Kelley and Democrat Laura Burke. Neither incumbent candidate — Republican Bruce Erb and Democrat Ted Beam — has responded.
