Trio face charges of animal sex abuse
Men allegedly had intercourse with horses, dogs
MUNSON — Three Clearfield County men charged with animal abuse for allegedly having sexual intercourse with horses, dogs, a cow and a goat have reportedly been abusing the animals for years.
Matthew Joseph Brubaker, 32, Terry James Wallace, 40, and Marc Thomas Measnikoff, 34, are each facing more than 1,400 counts each of misdemeanor of sexual intercourse with animal and summary of cruelty to animals. In addition, they are charged with one count each of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.
All three men were taken into custody after a search warrant was served on their residences on Saturday.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, police spoke with a 16-year-old boy who stated that, for the last four or five years , Wallace, Brubaker and Measnikoff were having regular sexual intercourse with animals on a daily basis.
Wallace was “mostly into having sexual intercourse with dogs, but had also had sexual intercourse with horses and a goat,” according to the report.
Wallace was living in a camper on one end of the property, while Brubaker and Measnikoff were living in a camper on the other side of the land, he said.
The witness said they were living in deplorable conditions and had to collect rain water to shower because there were no bathrooms or electricity on the property.
He also said there was a limited supply of canned food.
In his interview with investigators, Brubaker said he owns four female horses and one male horse. Wallace owns one horse, and Measnikoff had seven female horses and one male horse, he told police.
Brubaker allegedly admitted he had sex with every female horse on the property and also with a goat, a cow and his dog.
He reportedly stated he has had sexual intercourse at least once a day with an animal for the last four or five years.
Wallace had sex with every female horse and with a dog, a goat and a cow several times, Brubaker told investigators.
Measnikoff had sex with the horses, the goat and the cow, but not the dogs, according to Brubaker.
Some of the activity was allegedly recorded.
When Measnikoff was questioned, he reportedly admitted to having intercourse with the horses several times a week for the past several years, but not the dogs.
According to a press release from Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., state police and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals are still in the process of securing appropriate placement for
the animals.
Shaw noted that a juvenile male living at the makeshift farm has been taken into protective custody.
“Right now, we don’t believe the juvenile was sexually victimized,” Shaw said.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of mental or physical abuse the juvenile may have been exposed to, he added.
He also commented that this was one of the most extreme cases of animal abuse his office has ever handled.
The three men are in the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bail each. They are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday during centralized court at the Clearfield County Jail.
