Model railroaders plan event

The Bedford Model Railroaders will have its 14th anniversary N-Scale Weekend at the Jaffa Shrine Center Saturday and Sunday.

The show will feature model train displays, with 11 large N-Scale model train layouts and 28 vendors. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5, with those under 12 free with an adult.

The 11 large layouts will include: Steel City NTrak from Pittsburgh; Baltimore Area N-Trak 14 by 32 feet from Baltimore; Cant­ing­ton N-trak 14 foot by 28 foot from Cantington, Ky.; Southern Jersey 5 feet by 38 feet from New Jersey; Capitol PenNscalers Ntrak 12 foot by 36 foot from Harrisburg; Three Rivers Associates In N-Trak and Allegheny Northern 12 feet by 32 feet from Pittsburgh; and a 14-foot by 22-foot display from New Jersey. This year, several groups have switched over to the T-Track System, made up of small modules, that connect together in different layouts.

N-Scale is 1/160 scale, or 1/16 of an inch equals one foot.
