Man allegedly enters Duncansville home
CLEARFIELD – A Duncansville man is facing charges for allegedly breaking into a residence and striking a man.
Andrew James Martin, 34, was charged with burglary, three counts of simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief, defiant trespass and harassment by state police in connection with an incident in Bigler Township, Clearfield County, on May 29.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Martin knocked on the door of the residence and was advised by the resident to leave the property because he was trespassing.
Martin allegedly responded that he could do what he wanted, and shoved the male victim away from the door. He reportedly pulled a knife.
The victim shut the door and locked it, while telling a female victim to call the police.
Martin then kicked the door open and entered the residence, police said.
While inside the home, he allegedly began assaulting the man. The woman retrieved her gun and pointed it at Martin, ordering him to leave.
Martin did leave the residence, but was placed on the ground outside by another man, who held Martin until police arrived.
