Four arrested in drug operation
Police in southern Blair County apprehended at least four people in a drug operation Friday, ending a series of related investigations into illegal prescription pill and opioid sales.
The arrests follow a six-month, multi-agency investigation into drug dealing in Greenfield and Freedom townships, police said in a news release. One suspect hadn’t yet been arrested as of late Friday, officers said, although further charges against other suspects are possible.
In a series of affidavits, police named four suspects apprehended so far: Tara Lynn Albright, 39, of Claysburg; Chelsie Lynn Hollern, 27, of Claysburg; Steven Zachary Foor, 25, of East Freedom; and Corey Lee Musselman, 36, of Claysburg.
The case against Hollern and Foor began in February, when a confidential informant reportedly told a state police trooper that Hollern sold Xanax, a prescription anti-anxiety drug. The trooper later visited Hollern’s home with cash and allegedly set up a deal for pills.
When the trooper arrived, according to an affidavit, Hollern told him Foor had to first return home from a pharmacy with the drugs. Foor arrived and sold the pills for cash.
In a second case, an informant told police from several departments that Albright sold Suboxone — a brand name for naloxone, a drug commonly used to treat opioid addicts.
Police stopped at Albright’s home, a camper trailer in Claysburg, where an informant bought a naloxone strip for $25.
The same informant later accompanied an undercover agent to meet with Musselman, who allegedly also sold naloxone, at the Blue Knob condominiums. Musselman allegedly sold the informant another dose of naloxone.
In another case listed among the affidavits, the informant — again accompanied by an undercover agent — made a naloxone deal with Musselman at the condominiums. Musselman then allegedly told the agent and informant he wanted to stop at the Blue Knob Resort Golf Clubhouse Bar and Grill, where he told the pair about a doctor who offers free Suboxone trials and sells the drug freely to anyone who wants it.
Greenfield Township police said no doctor has been charged in the case, and it is unclear whether Musselman’s story about the source of the drugs is true.
Police filed charges against the four this week and apprehended them Friday. Local departments from Williamsburg, Martinsburg, Duncansville and Allegheny and Blair townships were involved, as well as county drug officers, state police and the state Attorney General’s Office.
“The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected,” Greenfield Township officers said in a written statement.
All face charges for drug possession and criminal use of communication facilities. Musselman remains in Blair County Prison on $25,000 bond, while the other three suspects are free on unsecured bail.
They are expected to face preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge Craig Ormsby in Roaring Spring, police said.
